Grass

Grass / tall fescue
Festuca arundinacea
Growing Method
Grass grows all over the world and in diverse weather conditions. It is a spreading plant and usually grows in soil. On the tevaplanter we start growing grass from seeds, the seeds are dry and in order to adhere them to the tevaplanter it is best to mix the seeds with agar-agar to help them stick to the surface. The germination process takes about 10 days (pretty fast!) and the grass can continue to grow on your tevaplanter for years. It's simple, cool and recommended for beginners.

Lace Flower Vine

Lace Flower Vine
Alsobia dianthiflora
Growing Method
The Lace flower vine is a creeping plant originally from Central and South America. It is possible to start growing an Alsobia on the tevaplanter with three different methods; replanting, mother plant or cuttings. Cuttings would be the most difficult method to start with. If you choose to use the cutting method, we recommend cutting a long piece which has roots showing. This plant does not need much water and it would be good to let the water level drop, which gives the roots time to dry. This plant has nice white flowers which blooms often in the good lighting condition

Ficus bonsai

Ficus bonsai
Ficus microcarpa
Growing Method
In nature you can find these Ficus bonsai trees growing everywhere, on rocks and even on other trees. For this reason we decided to test it on the tevaplanter. We recommend growing this Ficus for anyone, even beginners. When mounting the Ficus to the tevaplanter, we recommend cutting most of the small roots so that new ones can grow directly onto the vessels surface. Once the Ficus roots itself on the tevaplanter surface, its roots will start to wrap around the vessel and creates a unique look over time. It is important to note that this plant requires a lot of light and even direct sunlight for a period of time.
