What is the Big Base used for?
The Big Base is designed to support the Tevaplanter while featuring a much larger water-collection area. This allows it to hold significantly more excess water, making it ideal for lower maintenance setups where you don’t want to empty the Base as often. It keeps your surface protected while giving your Tevaplanter a cleaner, more stable display.
Is the Big Base waterproof, and how does it protect my tabletop or shelf from moisture?
Yes. The Big Base is fully waterproofed with a transparent sealer. It’s engineered to catch excess water that drips from your Tevaplanter, preventing any moisture from reaching the surface below.
How often do I need to empty or clean the Big Base reservoir?
This depends on your watering routine, amount of plants you mount and indoor humidity, but during early growth most users empty the Big Base every 5–7 days. As the plant matures and more roots spread across the Tevaplanter, less excess water reaches the Base. Meaning it will need to be emptied less often over time. Simply pour out any collected water and give it a quick rinse when needed.
Is the Big Base fragile?
The Big Base is made from ceramic, so while it is durable for everyday use, it can break if dropped or impacted hard, just like any ceramic product.
