- Material: The material is ceramic. Ceramic is made from a composition of different types of clays and minerals. We studied the material deeply, scanning our material in labs in order to develop the material with optimal balance of porosity and hygroscopic tendencies to fit the widest range of plant types.

What makes tevaplanter unique?
The tevaplanter is unique because it uses a specially engineered porous ceramic that slowly releases water, letting plants grow on the outside without soil. Just fill the inner chamber and place seeds or plants on the surface. Roots naturally cling and drink from the moisture within. It’s durable, non-toxic, and designed to create the ideal low-maintenance home for plant growth.

How do plants get their nutrients or fertilizer?
Plants on the tevaplanter get their nutrients through liquid fertilizer sprayed directly onto the roots on the outside surface. The water inside provides moisture, and the fertilizer you spray gives them the nutrients they need to grow. Do NOT add fertilizer into the tevaplanter water chamber.
What kinds of plants can I grow?
The tevaplanter is ideal for species that thrive with consistent root moisture. Popular choices include:
- Mosses & Microgreens: Chia, watercress, flax, mustard, and buckwheat. (Not for consumption)
- Orchids: Varieties like Paphiopedilum adapt exceptionally well to the surface.
- Ferns: These love the steady hydration provided by the porous ceramic.
- Small Tropicals & Aroids: Many species naturally grip and grow directly onto the exterior.
- Vining Plants: Perfect for creating a lush, 360-degree living sculpture.

I have had my Tevaplanter for about 8 months now. I planted it with two moss varieties, a mini moth orchid (just a little guy from the grocery store after the flowers faded) and some rabbitfoot fern cuttings. I sanitized and wired a stick to the side of it to give the orchid more to grab on to. I have watered regularly with tap water (our tap water is very good and I haven't had any issues so far) but honestly have only fertilized twice. I make a fertilizer bath dunk bowl for a few other epiphites and have just dipped the whole planter in the bath (not letting it get inside) and that has not seemed to have any negative effects on the planter. I will do it more diligently this upcoming growing season and report back. The orchid initially declined a bit when I first tethered it to the planter, but now has stabilized and has put out a BUNCH of new roots. No new flower spike, but the leaves are fat and glossy and the roots look very healthy. The rabbitfoot fern has a lot of new rhizome growth but no new fronds yet. It also seems happy enough. 🤷♀️ the moss has been curiously slow to get started. There is obvious new growth but a bunch of it is obviously dead, too. I may trim it but won't pull it off - I am optimistic that the moss will eventually thrive on this guy.
Overall, I really like the planter. I don't think it's any less maintenance than other pot, just a little different and super cool looking. I am very excited to see how the 2nd growing season goes with this now that the plants are acclimated. I am optimistic that they will thrive long-term
I really like my tevaplanter because I like to create:) But sometimes difficult to keep all plants happy on top and bottom, if you are like me and getting a more difficult plant to experiment, etc on it. But I like to experiment and that is a good option always! Photo's are from my instagram;)
Got my first planter in orange and a black big base to mix and match and it looks really nice in the living room. As a beginner and someone who loves nature, this little extra touch of green in my house changes everything. The kids love looking at it grow. I planted some grass and the results are amazing

I am SO happy I backed Teva Planter and my plants are doing SO well. They look good, they grow well, and they are quite unique.
A product exactly for those who like to experiment. Either you love it or you hate it. For me, a fun way to grow chia leaves for salads or grass for cats (here I recommend weighing down the bottom with a large rock). I'm moving on! It takes patience and attention. I give it a thumbs up!

I’m absolutely thrilled with my Tevaplanter! This planter has made taking care of my plant so easy and enjoyable. Its a lifesaver, my plants are vibrant and healthy. I grew a Ficus Benjamin and wrapped a few cuttings oh Hoya around it and just look how damn good it looks! This fits my beautiful Art as you can see on my wall so nice, i think its the best art piece i have and i have a lot of art. If you love plants but struggle with keeping them alive, the tevaplanter is a game changer. Highly recommend!

I am so excited to have my hands on these! I've planted a Hoya Curtisii and moss on one, some shingle vine on the second and vanilla planifola varigata on the third. I'm impatient so it's going to be really difficult to wait for roots to start growing out and the plants start spreading but I totally look forward to it!

Jag har provat olika tekniker och olika växter. Det som funkar bäst än är orkidéer. Krukan pryder sin plats men den är så torr att inget gror. Vi har mjukt vatten i Stockholm så det borde inte vara något problem. Och jag tar bara vatten som stått framme i några dagar eller stått ute. Men jag kämpar vidare. Skam den som ger sig 😉
I had my concerns and saw some complaints, but in my case... once I removed the orchid from the pot, washed and cleaned the roots, and added it to the Tevaplanter, the plant became healthier and healthier. It's been growing and thriving for over a month now. Very encouraging.
I've been having so much fun growing moss, ferns, orchids, carnivorous plants, and more on these! Just wish the bigger dish came standard rather than having to spend so much on and extra dish.
I haven’t planted them up yet. I know roughly what I want to grow on them, ferns and orchids, but waiting for warmer weather to get them going
