I had my concerns and saw some complaints, but in my case... once I removed the orchid from the pot, washed and cleaned the roots, and added it to the Tevaplanter, the plant became healthier and healthier. It's been growing and thriving for over a month now. Very encouraging.
I've been having so much fun growing moss, ferns, orchids, carnivorous plants, and more on these! Just wish the bigger dish came standard rather than having to spend so much on and extra dish.
I haven’t planted them up yet. I know roughly what I want to grow on them, ferns and orchids, but waiting for warmer weather to get them going
My tevaplanters are so much fun. I love experimenting with different types of plants and am blown away by my staghorn fern. This is my first time keeping one alive in CT.
The craftsmanship is pretty impressive. The tile themselves look gorgeous!
It was very easy to install. Special mention for the plastic "shield" that protect the wall from the humidity.
So far very satisfied of the product.
Was very exciting when it finally arrived with the Tiles. They work as they should however stick out like a sore thumb being a completely different colour way to the tile
It's a beautifully designed product. But is has some shortcomings. Firstly the product is so porous that it's dripping like crazy. I need to empty the drip tray every day, otherwise it will overflow. So that's not convenient if you will be away from home for more than a day. The other thing is that I cannot see into the tile to see how much water is left inside. So either you need to hang it low enough on the wall so you can look in to the tile, or you need to remove it from the wall every few days to check the waterlevel.
Nice design, easy to use, fun! It would be nice to add a tutorial for growing moss
This product has been so well thought out. I have used a maiden hair fern and a slipper orchid on the two I have placed on the wall at my front door. They are beautiful. I cannot tell you how many positive remarks I have had from random visitors who are asking where I got them from. They are a work of art.
This novel tile reminds me of the Mediterranean making for an interesting choice of plants given that our location is Melbourne Australia. I sought advice from a vertical gardening expert at our nearby garden supplies and they recommended the Bromeliads and 'Old Mans Beard', in a humid shaded location. Wow, after just one week, the plants are totally thriving and the visual appeal is great.
the product is very nice. The packaging is quite ingenious to ensure that it will travel long distances without being damaged. I still need to evaluate whether the orchids I want to grow with it stick to the ceramic correctly. If I remember to update this when I have results, I will.
I’m very happy with my Tevaplanter Tile and the great service I received. I haven’t started using it yet since I’m waiting to move into my new home, but I’m excited to hang it soon. The design and quality look excellent, and I’m really pleased with the overall experience.
I've been trialling an orchid on the tile for a few weeks. Its been growing really well, the intricate surface of the tile seems to respond to the amount of humidity in the air, and evens out the variability of our weather to suit the orchid well. Very well made product, and extremely well packaged. Frankly it makes a pretty cool ornament even without a plant on it! Highly recommend.
I have received the tiles and used to put some platicerios, I'm very satisfied, the plants are humid as expected; and they haven't suffered in the transplant.
My son has already planted some plants on his planter, just waiting to see the progress, so good so far
Staghornferns mounted, water in and waiting for a burst of life! The tile is beautiful, and easy to hang and use. With its arabesque pattern it’s beautiful even without the plants, and with them it’s like a piece of a jungle on my wall. I’ve long waited for something like that, that would make it easy and maintainable for me to mount and grow staghorns. Need to wait a little bit more to see how they adapt, but it already loooks fabulous!
well worth the wait.
Great product and my wife loves the tiles.
Kickstarter campaign had hick ups due to political global turmoil, but tevaplanter kept their promise and other backers lost their minds just because they waited some additional weeks
I really like it. It's easy to set-up and attach your plants to. I have been growing moss and an elkhorn fern on it for several weeks now.
Only thing that could have been a bit clearer is how to install the base as it's a bit to wide to for in the brackets and a bit to narrow to fit comfortably on the brackets. But that's just a small detail
Looks great on my walls, still waiting for the plants to get roots.
Instructions for putting up were not clear and I got everything out the different boxes (water catcher and tile) so wasn’t sure what was what. I messaged the Instagram page but a chat bot responded that wasn’t helpful!
